Hi everyone,

Sorry for the long delay in responding to any posts or e-mails that were sent out. I've been dealing with some personal stuff and am now just at a point where I can begin anew. There are three things that I wanted to give updates on so please take a quick gander.

- After some long thought and consideration and after hearing points of view from both sides, I've decided that the final results for COTY will not revealed. While I can understand the curiosity of folks to see where they "placed" after being nominated, I think revealing that information takes away the point of COTY as being an award and recognition event, not necessarily a contest. This decision is final and standing for all future events.

- Prizes, Prizes, Prizes!!!!!! Michael Crawford, Joe Amaro (last year's Honorary Award Winner) of Jazzwares and the kind gang at SOTA have donated several prizes for this year. A random drawing was held from all of the nominees and the winners are below. In addition to the donations above, I've included 3 grab bags of random figures/parts for the winners to use in their future customs. Prizes will be mailed out in 4-6 weeks. Please send me an e-mail to customoftheyear@yahoo.com with your name and latest mailing address.

-Finally, as I begin to start the process for the next Custom of the Year awards, I am looking for a webmaster to update and run the Custom of the Year site (www.customoftheyear.com). While some of the details are still being worked out, some of the preliminary work will include: updating the COTY logo, creating an archive for past COTY winners and nominees, updating the site with latest news and rules; and research on hosting online voting at our website.
